WPPSI-IV

The Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence – Fourth Edition (WPPSI-IV)
Is an innovative measure of cognitive ability and development for preschoolers and young children up to 7 years of age. It places an emphasis on child-friendly and developmentally appropriate tasks and provides a comprehensive insight into the various cognitive abilities of younger children.

WISC-V

The Wechsler Intelligence Scales for Children – Fifth Edition (WISC-V)
Is the gold standard measure of cognitive ability in children aged 6-16. The WISC-V measures various cognitive domains including verbal reasoning, working memory, processing speed, and visual problem solving, and is used to help assess children with learning problems or potential intellectual disabilities.

WAIS-IV

The Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale – Fourth Edition (WAIS-IV)
Is the world-leading assessment tool for measuring cognitive ability in adults aged 16 and over. The WAIS-IV assesses a variety of cognitive abilities and provides a detailed measure of intellectual function and capacity.

ADOS-2

The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – Second Edition (ADOS-2)
Is considered the gold standard measure for assessing Autism Spectrum Disorder. It provides a semi-structured, standardised assessment of communication, social interaction, play, and restricted and repetitive behaviours, and is suitable for use with both children and adults.

ADI-R

The Autism Diagnostic Interview – Revised (ADI-R)
Is a structured interview used for diagnosing autism, planning treatment, and distinguishing autism from other developmental disorders.

WIAT-III

The Wechsler Individual Achievement Test – Third Edition (WIAT-III)
Provides a comprehensive measure of academic functioning including reading, writing, and mathematics. Primarily used to help diagnose learning disorders.

CONNERS-4

The CONNERS-4 is the gold standard rating scale to help diagnose ADHD and related disorders in children aged 6-18.

Gavin Brice

Psychologist – B Psych (Hons), AAPi

Gavin is a North Queensland local who has been working as a psychologist for the past 15 years.

Working predominantly in assessment-focused roles, Gavin has extensive experience in performing psychological assessments and writing psychological reports.

He can design and administer assessments for people of all ages, including children, adolescents, and adults.

Gavin can assess a range of areas and disorders including intellectual disability, giftedness, learning disorders, and ADHD.

Additional areas of interest include memory function, executive function, and neurodiversity.

Clinical Psychologist

Laura Cole

Clinical Psychologist – M Clin Psych, MAPS, Member of APS Clinical College

Laura is a clinical psychologist who has worked across a range of government and non-government settings including community mental health, disability-specific services, university psychology clinics, and child and adolescent mental health services.

Laura has been practicing as a psychologist for over ten years and has a keen interest in psychological assessments and neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Laura works to support families through this process in a collaborative and person-centered approach. Laura has also held clinical managerial roles and is a STAP-accredited supervisor for all psychology registration pathways.
